The Colleen Classic golf outing is named in memory of Colleen Mary Welch, the daughter of Rosaria Communities co-founder, Tom Welch. Colleen had Down Syndrome, and died from a sudden illness in 2013 at age 22. In many ways, Colleen was (and remains) the inspiration for Rosaria Communities.

Rosaria Communities is a local non-profit organization that fosters the construction or renovation of housing to provide independent living opportunities for people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
